About the Project

The Global Covid-19 Pandemic has adversely affected many of the factors of economic activity across various sectors in Jamaica. Tourism is one such sector currently experiencing devastating declines in visitor arrivals evidenced by UNTO report on period March to December 2020. These declines are expected to continue into 2021. The importance of this sector to the growth and development of Jamaica mandates an effective and sustainable solution towards a safe restart of the industry.  Further analysis, outlines a key finding that many tourism workers have been or are being psychologically impacted by the pandemic, affecting their general well-being and their ability to continue to deliver a high-quality service product.
